Artist Statement

Caroline Barnard creates colorful, happy mixed media art, incorporating collage, acrylics, inks and other techniques. The multiple layers add depth and texture to these lovingly created pieces.

Growing up with her sister, Caroline sewed and crocheted clothes for their many dolls. She later designed her own fiber art dolls and patterns, which have been featured on HGTV's Carol Duvall Show and published in Soft Dolls & Animals magazine.

Caroline's current goal is to use her paintings to inspire new dolls and her dolls to inspire new paintings. Her art can be found at Fineline Creative Art Center in St. Charles, Illinois and at local art fairs. She will be participating in the Fox Valley Arts Ramble on June 8, 2024.
